After being absent for a long period of time, I'm back to work on getting th rest of my 06-07 (sort of lying since a few things came from 2005) portfolio up.
This file is just standing in until I can hijack my dad's scanner. The one I have in LA sucks pretty bad and decided to expose all the brush strokes on the skin, which are NOT actually visible in the physical painting! Scanners exist solely to plague me, I swear!
Um, this is actually a pretty good stitch of two scans together (the piece is too large for my flatbed scanner), if I do say so myself!
This was the LAST piece that went into my concentration portfolio. Fun fact: I finished it 10 minutes before my appointment to get my slides shot.
The title just occurred to me now--the piece actually is untitled as for portfolio submission, the slide merely need to be numbered. Make what you will of it. I was standing near a window letting in the late-afternoon sunshine (hence the contrast) while being a dork in my favorite sweater. I actually never wear the hood--consider yourselves lucky to get to witness a sight so rare as me in a hood.
Materials:
Pen and ink + watercolor on 9"x12" hotpress watercolor paper
Time:
Unknown. Probably around 10 hours, but I finished this at least 8 months ago, so who knows!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
